What is IEPF?
If any individual has not claimed dividends given on the Indian equity
shares held by them for seven consecutive years, then the Issuer company
must transfer those shares and the dividend money to Investor Education and
Protection Fund (IEPF), managed by Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).
However, an individual can claim back those shares and dividends from MCA
by following an online claim process.
